“The BEST is YET to come!”

Have we not heard this a thousand times or more?  If I had a dollar for every time I “turned to my neighbor” and said…. I’d be… well you know the rest.  We’ve seen everything from TV Preachers exposed on the 6 o’clock news to prayer lines longer than a football field.  We’ve never been MORE aware of the Nations, yet so oblivious to the silent struggles of those within our own walls.  We have never been more "informed" and pro$perous and yet lacking at the same time.  And these are the days of our lives in the ups and downs of our Charismatic “mega-church” experience.

But “Why?” you might ask.  I know God brought me there and then out, so what exactly was all of “that” for?

Without revisiting previous articles written, allow me to simply exhort you with I Kings 19:13-18

Then a voice said to him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?” He replied, “I have been very zealous for the LORD God Almighty. The Israelites have rejected your covenant, torn down your altars, and put your prophets to death with the sword. I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me too.” The LORD said to him, “Go back the way you came, and go to the Desert of Damascus. When you get there, anoint Hazael king over Aram. Also, anoint Jehu son of Nimshi king over Israel, and anoint Elisha son of Shaphat from Abel Meholah to succeed you as prophet. Jehu will put to death any who escape the sword of Hazael, and Elisha will put to death any who escape the sword of Jehu. Yet I reserve seven thousand in Israelall whose knees have not bowed down to Baal and whose mouths have not kissed him.”

Clearly the above scripture reveals God’s plans “within a plan”:

For throughout history, God always has a REMNANT… does he not? A group that refuses to bow a knee to the “Baal” of their day, nor allow themselves to simply ignore the ungodly practices and teachings that have crept into the lives of those within the camp. Remember, Baal was the name of the supreme god worshiped in ancient Canaan and Phoenicia. The practice of Baal worship infiltrated Jewish religious life during the time of the Judges, became widespread in Israel during the reign of Ahab, and also affected Judah. The Bible tells us to “come out from them and be separate, says the Lord.”

What’s more, REMNANT PEOPLE are those who have the ability to sense when yesterday has passed, yet wise enough to glean from it as they move toward tomorrow.

"Come out come out, where ever you are..."

To get right to the point, this is a time of REPOSITIONING in the Body of Christ.  For those who have an ear to hear... You can no longer knowingly afford to remain hidden in the "Cave" of your Comfort, convincing yourself  “there is nowhere else to go" and so I shall remain here instead.  Elijah went on to say to the people in I Kings 18:21 "How long will you waver between two opinions?  If the LORD is God, follow him."  It is in trusting the Lord and not your own understanding, that you WILL find the courage to face the unknown that awaits you.  Until then, cave dwellers have nothing else to look at BUT the way out.... as the KEYS are already in the door.  Just find your strength and Peace will sustain you every step of the way.  Deliverance comes when we can march forward without having all of our questions answered at the same time.

And to those who have already left...
He brought you there for a purpose and when that purpose was fulfilled, it became time to move on.  But NOT to permanently remain sheltered in "Caves" of Obscurity, but to REPOSITION you to be apart of what He is doing in your today.  He draws you out, to bring you back in.  So be encouraged, this shaking is due to the "changing of the guards" that is taking place right in front of you!  And PREPARATION is always needed in the meantime... the "wilderness" of transition is for your good, but it was never intended to be permanent.  Remember, Saul may have continued to hold the crown for a minute, but David had the anointing.  It would just be a matter of time before Saul became more obsessed with protecting his position, than he was with his duties as a servant of the Lord.  David ultimately became king because Saul began to believe he could live anyway he wanted; he believed he had indemnity because of his title.  He forgot the value of the priceless anointing that did not belong to him indefinitely, but was given to him for a greater purpose.  May we learn never to take for granted the precious Anointing or misuse our influence for our own purposes.

And so we all know that to everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.  But the KEY is discerning when a season has fulfilled its purpose and obeying when the Holy Spirit begins prompting you toward something new.  At the end of the day, yes I absolutely KNOW and STILL BELIEVE... The best IS yet to come!  You just have to come out of your "CAVE" in order to embrace it!

------------------------------------------
With that being said, this concludes what God sent me to tell you.  I feel that through all of our articles and comments, Life after Cornerstone has fulfilled its purpose in saying what needed to be said.  And to those who are in the process of leaving a Spiritually Abusive church, you will get through this.  It will hit you in waves as you begin to come to terms with the reality of the situation… but you will be better for it.  You’ll have a lot of “connecting the dots” and “ahhh” moments that will help you make sense of things, yet pierce your heart in the process.  Therefore, allow me to recommend you read our articles from beginning to end.  We wrote them to coincide with your journey of transition, depending on where you are in the process of moving forward.  It still amazes me how things get clearer, the further you become separated from it….

I also want to take the time to personally thank each and every one of you who have contributed scriptural insight and words of encouragement over the last 9 months.  I know there was a lot of temptation to go on various "bunny trails", so thank you for understanding the importance of keeping the focus on the purpose of the blog.  And a special thanks to those who were willing to put themselves out there by sharing their name.  I thank all of you for taking the time to reach back in love to your brothers and sisters in Christ!

On a personal note, many have asked me if it was hard to write this blog.  Yes and No.  At times, it is still sad to think of what has become of all that could have beenAnd even though your spirit no longer bears witness with those God once entrusted to watch over you, the heart doesn't stop loving them any less in the process.  Like David, who would have thought?  Certainly we would have never chosen to be put in this place and yet here we are.  Nevertheless, I refuse to minimize all that God did for me through my years at the former ministry of Cornerstone.  Some may agree or disagree with that statement, and certainly I cannot speak for everyone.  Remember, Cornerstone meant different things to different people... for different reasons.  And I will forever remember the faces of those I prayed with, believed with, and journeyed with for many years of my life.  This “circle” includes Michael Pitts and I am thankful for the person I became, just as I am thankful for the person I have become in the process thereafter.  I suppose it boils down to this... there came a fork in the road, and I took the road less traveled and it has made all the difference.  I will keep my Lessons Learned in my right pocket and follow this path, wherever He leads me.

With that being said, “With the Word and the Spirit, Our Best is Yet to Come”…. Believe that.  Take the prophesies you have received and NEVER let go!  Forgive and then Trust again.  And when the time comes, don't be afraid to come out of your cave, REPOSITIONING is a sign of greater things to come - God will prove himself to you just as he did Elijah!

Friends, THE BEST YEARS are really right ahead of us…
waiting for us to embrace them.

  2. Part 1

Wow. Another well written & thought provoking article. As I read what will most likely be the final article on this blog, I felt somewhat saddened as I have found much peace, strength, clarity & support in reading both the articles & the comments as well as sharing my comments to help those in need. I indeed learned that I was not alone or "off in my spirit" or for that matter, disgruntled. Rather, I was searching for truth & honest answers & it was here that I found them. I also found compassion & understanding.

As I read this article, I reflected back on my journey out of Cornerstone as it was indeed a journey my friends & not merely a one time event. It is a journey because it involved much questioning & self-doubt & working through a barrage of thoughts & feelings. That is why this blog was a godsend. I do not believe that it was happenstance or malicious, but was birthed out of prayer & a need to minister to a scattered flock who lost their shepherd.

You see, as has been mentioned before, one does not walk away from a spiritual home of nearly 20 years without some ambivalence. However, as this aricle mentioned, one must know when it is time to face the crossroad & make the decison to take the road less traveled & less known in a step of faith even though you don't have all of the answers or know exactly where the road less traveled will take you. You must heed the Spirit's leading & listen to the voice of God within you.

As the author mentioned, not all of my years at Cornerstone were a bad experience. Quite the contrary & all the more reason for the pain & sadness that one feels in leaving. I will never forget the message that I heard the first time I attended Cornerstone on Airport Hwy. It was a right on message for where I was at. It compelled me to come back again even though I didn't know anyone & felt all alone. As I attended more and more, I knew that was the place God had called me to & eventually,I knew that Michael was the voice of my pastor. However, over the last 5 years or so of attending there, my spirit began to sense that things were not as they used to be. A very different spirit had entered in & became a heavy-handed task master leading by control & guilt as opposed to the gentle leading of the Holy Spirit.

I came to Cornerstone in my early 30's, a wounded & hurting soul. The church I previously attended had split & then eventually closed. I wandered in the desert for several years until someone told me about Cornerstone & this on fire little preacher. So, in a step of faith, I checked it out. Through my early years there, I received a great spiritual foundation & many life-changing deliverances that truly saved me from self-destruction. I am thankful for those early years & how God used Michael & the other leaders there to minister to me.

However, as the blog author mentioned in the article, somewhere the anointing left Michael & he became more interested in protecting his position & what he had built. He lost sight of the importance of the anointing God had placed on him & that it was for a far greater purpose than using it to build a well known ministry & to climb to "higher levels". As Michael fell into his various asundry of troubles & began rubbing elbows with questionable individuals who fell one by one, to their own demise, things radically changed & not for the better.

So, I had to make a decision about what the Holy Spirit within me was showing me. It took some time to pull away & finally leave & then began the sorting out & unraveling of years of heavy-handed spiritual abuse, only I had no idea at the time that that was what it was. It wasn't until I visited other churches & talked to christians & pastors outside of Cornerstone that I realized I was for all intents & purposes in a cult for lack of a better word. The longer I was away from Cornerstone & the more I talked to others who left with simsilar stories, I felt tremendous relief in knowing that there was nothing wrong with me & I wasn't off. And then, I found other blogs that led me to this blog & the rest is history as they say.

The truth of the matter is that you can't have that many people with similar stories & experiences & not be convinced that just as the Spirit & anointing departed from Saul, so did it from Michael & Robert. Too much sin in the camp of leadership was overlooked and a very different spirit entered the house & many became defiled by it. And you can't ignore ongoing sin at anytime without consequences. In the words of Michael, "What is on the head flows down" good or bad.

In closing, once you become aware and realize that what once was is no more, then you MUST make a decision - stay and ignore & defend or step out of your cave, take a step of faith and move on to reposition yourself for the next season God has for you.

Thank you to the blog author for your courage in stepping out with this blog. It has helped & encouraged many hurting & confused sheep who left the fold called Cornerstone.

I hate to see this end, but if it has served its purpose, then I guess it must come to a close. I wish all of you peace and grace in finding your new place in your new season. I miss all of my Cornerstone brothers & sisters & would love to give you all a big hug. However, we will all remain knit together in the Spirit and love of Christ.

God bless to all of you.

  4. Speaking Truth in Love -

Thank you for creating a safe place for people to process and express their heartfelt concerns without fear of being ostracized, judged or ridiculed.

Thank you for creating a place to give them hope that all things will work together for good to those who love God and are called according to His purpose.

Thank you for creating a place for people to share their journey, so that others will know that the "True Church" is not an organization created by man, nor can it be contained within a building but is a "living organism", and to recapture what they once knew .... we are "Living Stones" that God is building into His spiritual temple and Christ alone is the true Cornerstone.

Even though I not from your town or state, nor was I part of this "circle", in some ways I've shared the same journey and you have been a blessing to me as I too chose to take the "road less traveled"
Godspeed and God Bless you all!

  5. To Staying Free,

Thank you for your sharing as well. I so loved your comments about the True Church". I have done much soul searching in these last 2 years on my journey out of an abusive church & have come to realize that my personal relationship with Jesus and living my life according to the Word is not contingent on a man or a building.

I think sometimes we as christians get comfortable in our "caves" and begin to look to a man & become consumed with our church activities & that sets us on a path of complacency, or worse yet it burns us out & turns us away from spiritual things. And unfortunately at Cornerstone, it became about moving up the ranks to the "next level" and becoming a part of the "inner circle" which created all kinds of unhealthy things. The focus became less about Jesus, the true Cornerstone, & more about Cornerstone & Michael's revelation, anointing & titles as he ever "moved up in the ranks".

I can tell you there are things I miss like corporate praise & worship & I think meeting together with a body of christians is important to encourage us & share our faith & struggles & the Word. However, this blog has been a place for that as well. No there wasn't any corporate praise & worship, but there was the love & compassion of Jesus & the truth of God's Word shared as many weary, hurting & confused souls tried to find their way. For that I am grateful.

I can say I no longer feel guilty or put pressure on myself that I still have not found a church family that I have incorporated myself into, but that's OK. I still have my relationship with Jesus & I still minister to people in need in my community & I don't need a church building or a leader to direct me to do that. Rather, I have the love & compassion of Jesus within me that moves me to help my fellow man. I can sow a seed to a family in need & I believe I will still reap what I have sown apart from a church building or a man. As you said, the church is a "living organism" and we are the Living Stones & we are to build Jesus's church no matter where we find ourselves. And what better way to do that than to share the love & compassion of Jesus to a lost & dying world outside of the church walls.

And yes, it was for Freedom that Christ has set us free, not bondage to a man's system of what he feels "church life" should be, as if that is what christianity is all about. And I am free indeed for Christ who dwells in me has set me free!

God's blessings to you and all who read this blog. It has truly been a safe place for people to process their thoughts and express their heartfelt concerns. It is but one small stone among the Lively Stones that God is building up to become His spiritual temple.

  6. Your Sister in Christ:

Thanks for your comment friend! It’s good to know that the blog has been a blessing to you, thank you for expressing that. If I’m not mistaken, it appears that you are somewhere in the “valley of decision” yourself. So, I am very pleased that you have found insight and encouragement on the blog… without feeling judged. Each of us will find ourselves in different phases on our journey forward and that is to be expected. I remember my own personal “valley of decision” very clearly. Please know that even though we feel that our previous articles on Cornerstone have fulfilled what God sent us to say, you are never far from our hearts. We will certainly not stop praying for you…

Remember, Elijah’s God answered Him in a mighty way --there was no mistaking it! May the refreshing rivers of the Holy Spirit bring you clarity and strength in this season! God Bless, Your Sister in Christ.

Yes this blog has been something that has confirmed what I have been sensing that something has changed at Cornerstone but I didnt know what, it is not the same church I came to almost 20 years ago...So now what? Where do I go from here? I just found this site and you are shutting it down...Do I leave, stay, wait? At this point I am very confused. It is like I am grieving the loss of this fabulous church that used to be on dussel drive.

  9. To Staying Free:

Your name should have read “On Time”. I believe God placed us on your heart for a reason -I have felt your powerful prayers. You are a timely God send, so thank YOU as well! I have found that there is such a balancing act when it comes to boldly calling out untruths and reflecting love at the same time –what a fine line to walk (especially when you are expressing that truth in WRITING vs. verbally). Often I just wanted to keep it simple and say, “Look, read the writing on the wall… open your eyes!!! And RUN!” Would I have been correct? Absolutely! But one cannot ignore the believers’ mental and emotional needs in the process… clearly it’s not just a “spiritual” problem that needed addressed here. (And intelligence is certainly not the problem either.)

Have Michael and Robert’s leadership methods created spiritual problems and ultimately contributed to shipwrecking the faith of many they have sought to govern? –Without question! But sometimes the truth can cut and too much confrontation without understanding can make the wounded want to hold onto the familiar, even the more. (Fueling the notorious "Us vs. Them" propaganda) For this very reason, I always tried my best to speak the TRUTH, but encouraged others to understand the complexities of the process. Again, the ultimate goal is “Course Correction”, so that not only is the believer free from Egypt… but that the dysfunctional “STD” is not simply transferred from one place to the next. And when you are dealing with someone who has given 20 years of their life to a “ministry”, it’s not black and white --It’s a process… plain and simple. Even the blog author, who dared to speak out against these charlatans, had a very personal process that included a season of healing as well. Grace must always be extended, but there comes a point… when a decision ultimately has to be made by each individual. For sadly, things are not as they appear.

    Any “cult” expert would agree:
The #1 step is to once again THINK OBJECTIVELY. (Like we did in Life BEFORE Cornerstone.) As I’ve said before, this healthy internal process is what was seemingly robbed from all of us, but is the KEY to breaking free –Pausing to ASK QUESTIONS as Leroy would put it. This is EXACTLY WHY Michael and Robert have been forced to dismiss us as “off”. They have to come up with something “spiritual” to explain and justify the mass amounts of very well known and reputable members that have left over the years.

With that being said, thank you again for supporting and encouraging others along side us, Staying Free!

    To Your Sister in Christ:
"So now what?" Listen to the Lord's voice and obey what He's showing/telling you. He is not the author of confusion. Why sit you there till you die? Only you can answer that question. I pray that as you trust Jesus with all of your heart, soul and mind, that you will sense the strength that He's giving you to "come out of the cave"...you'll be in my prayers, sis.

To the blog author, Speaking the Truth in Love, thank you, thank you, thank you, for being obedient to the Lord's calling to start this blog. Many of those whom this blog has helped you may never know, but this has been a "for real" blessing for me. This blog brought healing, revelation, help, and hope to me and countless others. May God bless you and yours, Speaking the Truth. I wrote a couple comments on your blog under my initials, "AB". I've since discovered a "freedom and boldness" because "(S)he who the Son sets free, is free indeed!". I proudly sign my name to my final blog comment so that you may know this "sister in Christ" who, again, thanks you for these "9 months of revelation" that have "birthed" a newfound freedom in my walk with the Lord.

  11. To Your Sister in Christ:

Just so you know, we are not shutting the blog down. Without repentance and restoration, Cornerstone WILL continue to decline and more and more will continue to be led out.

Therefore, all articles and comments will remain to help people in the very near future. IF the Lord gives me something further to say, I will certainly write it. In the meantime, I may write other articles that are more directed toward the Church at large. (We will see what God says in that respect.) However, I feel that I have said all that can be said in regard to bringing attention to the problem and how to become free from it. And certainly I hope everyone hears the message within the message –THERE IS LIFE AFTER!

On the other hand, it is very difficult for me personally because I am very aware of those just discovering the blog. I can appreciate where you are and we do continue to receive e-mails from those seeking encouragement. Please allow me to suggest you read all the articles in the order they were written…. I did this intentionally, so as to help others in their journey from beginning to end.

Your Sister in Christ, LISTEN to the still, small voice of the Holy Spirit. He prompts us and stirs truth within us. I absolutely share your sorrow in what has “become” on Dussel Rd… this is expressed by so many. For no one knew what day the Titanic would sink and no one on the boat had the power to stop that fateful day. It was a day of great sorrow, even for those who warned of the impending disaster. If you feel something nudging you to EXIT the doors, please give heed to that. It’s not “Just You”. The rest will become clear once you are free. The worst thing you can do is allow fear to control you either way. And LIFE may appear to “fall apart” at times, but it does this to COME TOGETHER for greater purpose. Praise God! And be of good cheer, it is going to work out for your good! We love you...

  12. To Angela Bailey:

After reading your gracious comment, I am now speechless (for once)...lol. Thank you for expressing SUCH kind words. Your comments have always been very genuine and right on time as well. Many times you have said things better than I could have articulated myself.

Your new boldness of freedom is a beacon of light to those God has and IS sending your way! Your compassion for others is very genuine and you have a way of directly lifting the hearts of those around you in a very unique way. And thank you for taking the time in your own journey forward to reach back to others that needed to hear your inspiration as well! And yes, I too have found these last 9 mos. to be a season of birthing new things in my life as well!

In the most sincere way, God Bless you..

  13. Part 1

I am going to start by sharing a link which I will explain in greater detail below. This link is yet another example of why christians who have been members for 10+ years are leaving churches & rightly so should be. And it is eerily similar to what happened to members at Cornerstone when they began leaving after Michael Pitts first encounter with the law & his exposing his genitals in public along with trespassing in a park at after hours.

    http://www.youtube.com/watchv=FVMWLcB8NAc&feature=related

The above link was sent to me by a friend. It is a clip of Crefalo Dollar defending Eddie Long & chastising the members of Eddie's church for leaving after he paid out a $15 million dollar, that's right $15 million dollars to the 4 young men he groomed for years for his sexual escapades.

Now ask yourself, why on God's green earth would he pay out that kind of money if he was innocent?? I suppose it wouldn't matter to him if it was the members hard earned tithes & offerings he is spending to defend his mega church fame. I mean after all, just ask Crefalo Dollar. He'll tell you that Eddie just had a "little old wreck" & how can his members do him that way cause how many train wrecks have they had and the blood covered them?!?

Well, excuse me Mr. $$$$, Eddie is a "bishop" and a leader and is held to a higher standard. And further, it wasn't just a mistake or a little old wreck! Eddie engaged in predatory behavior & his thought life was way off in places it shouldn't have been & the end result is that he royally reaped the results of what he had been sowing for years, in the dark behind closed doors, until God brought it into the light by giving those young men the courage to come forward. Amen!!

And how dare Crefalo $$$$ chastise Eddie's former members for leaving when they had every right to leave & in doing so were following what God tells us to do which is to separate from uncleanness and unrepentant individuals who are leaders. I don't have chapter & verse right now, but I am sure someone else can provide that.

It is amazing to me how church leaders in these Hollywood style mega churches use such brainwashing and mind control tactics to keep members coming back. It's spiritual abuse people. Wake up & smell the coffee. It is NOT an anointed atmosphere you are in. It is a flesh controlled fest of giftings in disguise as a Spirit led atmosphere and God is not pleased with these phony leaders & is allowing their sin - yes sin to be exposed because the clean up will start from the head down because what is on the head flows down, those are Michael's own words.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Part 2

So why am I sharing a clip about Crefalo Dollar defending Eddie Long? Lots of reasons for which I will continue to explain.

First & foremost, Eddie is yet one more individual in a long cast of characters Michael has associated with through the years who have fallen by the wayside in sin & major doctrinal error & their ministries have shut down. At what point does Michael not realize he is not rubbing elbows with upstanding christian men who represent the pure & true gospel of Jesus Christ?? I could go down the list, but it has been mentioned in previous articles & comments. MIchael always preached strong & hard to us that like spirits attract like spirits & that we generally gravitate toward those of like minds & spirits. Further, those spirits have influence over us. Well, Michael Pitts is NO exception. A very perverse, controlling & deceptive spirit got into Cornerstone headship through Michael's wrong associations & when it was not humbly acknowledged and repentance was non-existent, pride set in & by it, many have been defiled & that is why so many members including myself have left. And no, we are not the bad guys.

We were not off, disgruntled or out of agreement. The only thing we were out of agreement with was the watered down message on sin & the excuses & ridiculous defense of repeated sinful behavior. And then when members wanted to leave, the fear filled, guilt laden controlling messages would hit the pulpit. Robert would come out heavy handed & say things like, "Nobody is keeping you here. There's the door, see if you can find a better church." They had us convinced that all of the other churches in town were religious & watered down seeker churches, who, God forbid, served coffee - how sinful & fleshly, not in the house of Gawd!

Then following Robert's guilt laded tactics, Michael would do a follow-up message about being out from under your covering where the blessings flow from or in their case, the sin & excuse making. Sorry, I'm way past patting caking here, too many souls searching for truth and answers, not more manipulation & loosey-goosey feelings.

Second, Eddie Long was scheduled to "preach" at Cornerstone's Heaven on Earth (not) conference last Oct. but, God has a way of doing things. The show went on however, & one of the speakers did try to preach a message to bring about repentance, but it was smoothed over & there weren't any altar calls for repentance to follow that on-time message.

    to be continued...

    ReplyDelete
  15. Conclusion:

Third, it's time to call out the flesh-laden antics of these Hollywood style churches. If anyone is really paying attention to Michael when he preaches, he's lost his flow & so has Derick. The music & the message don't flow. The anointing has departed just as it did with Saul. Sure, there are gifts going on, but Michael doesn't flow from his spirit in prayer, he urges the congregation to pray while he stands back uttering sounds & waving his arms like something is happening. And when he does pray, there is no power. It's theatrics & Wizard of OZ fluff. And because there is no flow, he gets upset with Derick & has to start waving his hands at him to stop & get in "the flow" & pay attention. And because everyone in the place is in awe of Michael & his "anointing" & they have been groomed by his tactics - the Crefalo video was great at pointing them out, they are oblivious to what is really happening. Michael uses all of the tactics mentioned in the video. Not surprising since he is running in the same circle of fleshly mega $$ preachers who twist the gospel for gain & seek to protect their image & $$ making empires.

Sure, it feels good to get excited & believe that Michael can say a prayer & bind all the evil in this city & bind all the effects & diseases from stress. Shootings are still happening every night & people are still out of work & they need help, not "magical" prayers. Yes, prayer is needed, but just because Michael prays it loud & strong doesn't make it so. You may feel good for a moment, but you have to go home to reality. Then he expects 100% participation from people who may have little to nothing which is causing their stress & they give out of group pressure & guilt, not because they're led by the Holy Spirit to give. After all, the poor people in Zimbabwe gave 100% participation when their economy collapsed (...guilt) If Michael has so much faith, why doesn't he just take up an offering & trust that individuals will be led by the Spirit to give & his needs will be met for whatever he claims the money is going toward, rather than covertly guilting people to give, or specifying an amount that is going to "set something in motion". Nowhere in the Word does it say God will move on your behalf if you give a specific $$ amount. His blessings & provisions are free; faith activates things, NOT $$ offerings. If Michael needs money for something, just be straight up & say we are trying to raise X amount of $$ for this, rather than promising that giving will activate/set something into motion. But, it's easier to get people to give when you promise them something or give the illusion that is what is happening.

Anyway, I know this blog may be nearing an end & I just had to share what I have come to see now that I am out from under the controlling & deceptive spirit at Cornerstone.

On a final note, Eddie Long's wife left him just as Robert Pitts wife has left him. I'm sure she finally got fed up with the shenanigans as well.

Take heed you who are questioning whether or not to leave - it is not you. The Holy Spirit is calling you away. Check out the video clip & go to Pimppreacher.com or GCM Watch. God is exposing false preachers & their members's eyes are being opened to the truth & they are leaving.

Be of good cheer, there is hope & life after Cornerstone. God is preparing a remnant, for not all who say Lord, Lord will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

Remember, it is a journey out, & others have gone down the road less traveled before you, & if you trust God & allow Him to walk with you along the road less traveled, you will find rest & peace in Him.

God bless & may His wisdom be yours & His Word be a lamp unto your feet & a light unto your path.

  16. Forgiveness is not saying:
    “It’s ok what you did.”

    Forgiveness is saying:
“I no longer hold you behind the prison bars of what you did –in my heart.”

CHOICES are ultimately what determines our PATH and WHO God will allow to remain on it. And when the “will of man” is involved, some things are simply beyond our control. It is at that point, God ultimately decides the course of the relationship thereafter.

•Seducing spirits work to slowly rob us of our DISCERNMENT. They deceive us by luring us to buy into things we WANT to believe are true. (Selah)

This is why it is IMPERATIVE that we seek the COUNSEL of the Holy Spirit. For only God knows how long that person will stay on the same path of destruction, if not indefinitely. Could it even be that sometimes people KNOW exactly how they are and DESIRE to remain that way? Could it be that a season of GRACE is often mistaken for God’s approval?

Perhaps forgiveness is what releases us both ways. When we take off our “rose colored glasses”, we can accept truth, choose to forgive, heal, and then ultimately REPOSITION --so that God can work it out for the greater good! God desires for us to have healthy relationships and how can we if TRANSPARENCY is not at the center of it all...

Welcome to the life of Liberty! This is the place you are free to obey God 24/7. Your boldness is a testimony and witness to those of us who like you found, increase of peace and strength by identifying one’s self. I count it a privilege to be a part of this move of God, I call it “The Evolution of the Street Preacher” as we submit to God, the path becomes clearer and the mission becomes distinct.

  21. Amen King David --You summed it up!

    Final Thought...

Friends, God has allowed much to be exposed over the years. And more is to come. As it unfolds, it will be hurtful and difficult for many… to say the least. Our prayer is that none would allow their faith in God and trust in others to become permanently shipwrecked in the process. As you know, the initial season of transition can be VERY difficult as one comes to terms with the truth. This is WHY it became needful to bring our testimonies to the light. To return “back to the future” and encourage others with the message… There is LIFE after, when ever “after” shows up at your door.

    • For history reveals that not everyone in Toledo has understanding or empathy for those directly affected by the situation. (I’m sure we’ve all heard our fair share of the jokes…) And so, let us not be tempted to swell up with “I told you so…” too.

For this was not Joseph’s attitude toward his brothers. In fact when Joseph could have had the GREATEST “I told you so!” OF ALL TIME…. he instead was moved with compassion for his brothers and saved them face by basically saying, “Well somebody had to come out first…”

    Isaiah 50: 5-8
“The Sovereign LORD has opened my ears; I have not been rebellious, I have not turned away.
I offered my back to those who beat me,
    my cheeks to those who pulled out my beard;
I did not hide my face from mocking and spitting.
Because the Sovereign LORD helps me, I will not be disgraced.
Therefore have I set my face like flint, and I know I will not be put to shame. He who vindicates me is near."

In knowing this --let us boldly speak the truth and bring encouragement to those God brings across our path.

Remember, you once sat in the same seat too...

The BEST is yet to come as JESUS is once again LIFTED UP in His Church!
